Tarihi ya nuna cewar bunkasar shahararriyar maɗaukakiyar daular borno ta bare-bare ta soma yin kasa ne tun bayan rasuwar Sarkinsu Mai Idris Alooma a wuraren karni na goma sha shidda zuwa na sha bakwai. Don haka ya zamana daular ta rinka asarar manyan garuruwan da suke karkashinta sakamakon yadda karfin ikonta ke dusashewa.
Ana wannan yanayi, sai kuma fulani suka soma jihadi a shekarar 1804. Don haka bayan yake-yakensu yayi kamari, sai ya zamana suna tashi zuwa garuruwa domin cinsu da yaki, sai data kai har masarautar borno sun riska da yaki.
